Everything you missed at this weekend's Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago

Nearly 300,000 people gathered at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois this weekend to watch over 150 bands and musicians perform at the Lollapalooza music festival.

Paul McCartney, Metallica, Florence and the Machine, Sam Smith, and Kaskade were among the headliners.

On Sunday afternoon, the festival was briefly evacuated as a storm moved in, but music resumed after a 90-minute delay. The weather returned later that evening just in time for Florence and the Machine to close out the festival amid a lightening storm.

A record-tying 300,000 fans descended upon Grant Park in Chicago this weekend to watch over 150 musicians perform.

Paul McCartney headlined Friday night with a special appearance by Alabama Shakes' Brittany Howard.

Metallica closed on Saturday night to a giant crowd.

For those not into Metallica, Sam Smith sang on an opposing stage.

FKA Twigs showed off her signature dance moves.

Charli XCX riled the crowd.

Clayton Knight and Harrison Mills of Odesza dressed in their Chicago best.

And Kid Cudi worked the audience with his smile.

Ben Schneider of Lord Huron really gave it his all.

Rapper ASAP Rocky promoted himself on his T-shirt.

Marina and the Diamonds rocked out in one of her typical crazy costumes.

Of Monster and Men performed before the weather got bad on Sunday, forcing a 90-minute delay for afternoon shows.

Florence and the Machine closed out the festival on Sunday night amidst a beautiful lightening storm, but were forced to end 30 minutes early as severe weather moved over Chicago.

Lead singer Florence Welch got so into her performance that she ripped off her top and ran through the pit wearing just her bra. Fans caught the moment on video (5:10).

DJ Joe Jonas watched the weekend's festivities go down at the Samsung Galaxy Artist Lounge.

As did Lucas Goodman and Jillian Hervey of Lion Babe.

But most people were right in the thick of the crowds, selfieing the days away.
