Here's The Photo That Got 5 Members Of An Elite British Anti-Gang Police Unit Fired

Five police officers in Merseyside, England were fired yesterday after photographs emerged of them acting inappropriately on the job, the Telegraph reports.

The police officers were part of an “elite, anti-gang” fire-arms unit.

The photos show the officers ransacking a suspect’s kitchen, holding cereal and cleaning liquids, and were taken on a police officers phone.

Deputy Chief Constable Bernard Lawson said that ”we expect the highest standards from our officers and these officers fell far short of that expectation.”

The officers were found guilty of gross misconduct, and Lawson told the Liverpool Echo that “I am disappointed that the actions of this small minority of officers has had a disproportionate impact on public confidence and our community relations.”
