In OS X Lion, the Mail app got a complete revamp.
Some new features include a unified inbox, threaded messaging, a new interface, and a useful “related messages” feature that is turned off by default.
One of the best things about Gmail is that messages are threaded, meaning you can see every email in a chain, including your own.
In Lion’s Mail, you can only see the responses of others.
Here’s how to make sure you’re seeing the whole conversation, spotted by Cult of Mac:
- Open up Mail, and go to Preferences from the “Mail” menu in the top navigation bar.
- Click the “Viewing” tab in Mail Preferences.
- Check the box that says “Show Related Messages.”
- You’re done. Now your responses to messages will be interspersed inside email conversations in your inbox.
