LinkedIn updated its iOS and Android app today with a fix to prevent your calendar data from being sent to its servers.┬áSecurity researchers recently discovered that the app’s calendar feature, which syncs your calendar events with the app, uploads personal data such as notes, numbers, and contacts to its servers.

According to PC Advisor, today’s update fixes the issue. (Although the app’s description uses the rather innocuous “Improvements in calendar” to convey that.)

You can get the update for iOS and Android now.
