LinkedIn’s first iPad app got a lot of love last week from reviewers. In fact, we prefer it over the website now.
Although it’s only on the iPad at the moment, LinkedIn tells us the app could easily make its way to Android and Windows 8 tablets in the near future.
That’s because a lot of the app is built with HTML5, which makes it easy for its developers to port it over to Android tablets and Windows 8.
When we spoke with LinkedIn last week about the new iPad app, we were told by one of its developers that he’s definitely open to the possibility of bringing the app to other platforms.
We’re guessing LinkedIn, like many other companies, is using the “wait and see” approach with non-iPad tablets. Android tablets still haven’t taken off with consumers and Windows 8 tablets won’t be available until this fall.
