Luxury-goods mogul Francois-Henri Pinault is in hot water at home today.
Pinault, the CEO of PPR (a group that includes Gucci, among other brands), is being sued by supermodel Linda Evangelista for $46,000 a month in child support.
Evangelista only revealed Pinault to be the father of her four-year-old son a month ago — and now she wants the money to cover expenses like nannies, armed bodyguards and full-time drivers.
Complicating this further: Pinault is married to actress Salma Hayek, and they have a three-year-old daughter.
Here’s a depressing excerpt from Evangelista’s hearing:
Evangelista explained that when she works, “it can be a 16-hour-day”. Also, this: “On days when I do not work, I am working on my image. I have to hit the gym. I have beauty appointments. I have to work toward my next job and maintaining my image, just like an athlete.”
One suspects the home-cooked dinners Hayek has gamely thrown for Pinault’s already blended family (as described in T) may be coming to a temporary halt.
