REPORT: 2 Suspects From Libya Attack That Killed US Ambassador Arrested In Istanbul

Chris Stevens

Turkey’s Kanal D television is reporting that 2 people suspected of involvement in the September 11 death of US Ambassador Chris Stevens have been arrested in Istanbul.

Reports in Hurriyet say the pair, allegedly Tunisians, were arrested trying to enter the country on fake passports.

They were detained Wednesday night at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport, and are now being questioned by police.

Stevens and three other Americans died when the Benghazi consulate was attacked last month. The attack coincided with protests against an anti-Islamic YouTube trailer, but is now believed to have been pre-planned.
