Lenny Dykstra thinks Jose Canseco ruined his career and now the two baseball players-turned-train wrecks will settle their differences in the boxing ring.Dykstra and Canseco are scheduled to fight this Saturday night at the Avalon in Hollywood as part of a celebrity boxing match. Canseco was originally scheduled to fight Tareq Salahi, the guy who crashed a White House dinner with his wife. But Dykstra says he begged to take Salahi’s spot on the card.

“Canseco ruined my career by spreading lies. I called Tareq and begged him to let me take his place in the upcoming fight against Canseco.”

As pointed out by Dave Brown of Yahoo! Sports, it appears that Dykstra is referring to Canseco outing steroid use in Major League Baseball, which would be odd as Dykstra has admitted using steroids.

This boxing match comes just two weeks after Dykstra plead no contest to auto theft charges. Dykstra faces four years in prison.
