Marissa’s Mayer latest redesign of Yahoo.com could launch as early as this week, Kara Swisher of AllThingsD reports.
The new website seems to be specifically designed for tablets, touch screen PCs, and smartphones. It has a Windows 8-like tiled interface and might incorporate ads within the swipeable tiles, Swisher’s sources tell her.
The redesigned site also has simpler icons for Yahoo’s properties, has fewer text links, and more social features.
Yahoo.com is the company’s most important product, so it’s no wonder why Mayer is putting a great emphasis on the redesign.
