Two high school football teams in Arkansas helped one fellow student’s dream come true, by letting him score a touchdown in a varsity football game, even though he had to carry the ball over the goal line in a wheelchair.
Manila High School trailed top-ranked Rivercrest High, 47-0, as they drove to the four-yard line in the closing minutes of their game last week. That’s when the losing team sent senior Dylan Galloway into the game at running back. Dylan was born with cerebral palsy and is confined to his motorised wheelchair, but in a pre-arranged moment between the two coaches, he received the handoff and motored over the left side for six points. Cue handkerchiefs.
