The Kentucky Derby is as much about fashion as it is sport, and the 138th annual race—held this weekend at Louisville’s famed Churchill Downs—was no disappointment.Tens of thousands of spectators watched as I’ll Have Another raced to victory, wearing everything from designer chapeaus to gear that gave a nod to the other major celebration taking place on Saturday—Cinco de Mayo.

A few celebrities showed off their best headgear as well.

Model and actress Bonnie-Jill Laflin went for purple feathers.

Cindy Lauper was there too, in a UFO-sized hat.

Anything goes on Millionaires Row.

Lilly Pulitzer looks over by the Frozen Lily Bar.

Sunny colours and mint juleps all around.
