We’ve been constantly impressed by Kate Spade New York‘s use of social media, from its vibrant blog to its Pinterest boards.Now the apparel maker is it again, today launching a City Guide section on its blog, powered by travel website Fathom.
Fathom, the brainchild of former DailyCandy executive editor Pavia Rosati, takes the view that there’s simply too much travel-related content out there for anyone planning a trip to sift through, and focuses instead on sharing unique and authentic travel experiences with readers.
Like Kate Spade’s various social media ventures, Fathom’s city guides are photo-heavy and, simply put, pretty to look at. In addition to pictures, the guides include curated local listings, itineraries, and tips to help readers plan their next vacation, including packing lists and “cheat sheets.”
So far, there are five guides available: for New York City, London, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Tahiti. More destinations will be added regularly.
