Kate Middleton made her first official appearance of 2019 on Tuesday, and it looks like the duchess is starting the year off on a casual note.
Middleton visited King Henry’s Walk Community Garden in London by debuting some low-key yet chic additions to her wardrobe.
The duchess wore the $US599 Bracken jacket by Dubarry, which she paired with matching skinny jeans.
Instead of the trusty Penelope Chilvers tassel boots that she typically wears, Middleton debuted a new pair of combat boots. She opted for a pair of $US445 suede ankle boots from See by Chloé in a dark shade of brown.
The duchess also spent some time with local children to make pizzas in the garden’s outdoor pizza oven, as seen in a video captured by the Daily Mail’s royal correspondent Rebecca English. When a young fan asked if the Queen enjoys pizza, Middleton said “I don’t know,” but suggested she’d ask the next time she sees her.
I can’t even tell you how many brilliant things there are here: Kate’s reaction to cheese and cucumber pizza; George learning about space in school – and best of all the little girl who asks her whether the Queen eats pizza! ???? The answer was……watch on! pic.twitter.com/RXTH8DjAwA

Kensington Palace announced on Tuesday that Middleton will team up with the Royal Horticultural Society to help design the 2019 RHS Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show in May.
