How Kate Middleton Single-Handedly Boosted Profits 27% At Alexander McQueen

The whole world speculated about which dress designer Kate Middleton had selected for her marriage to Prince William last year. We’ve seen the effects of the Duchess wearing a designer, and her wedding gown was the fashion event of the year. 

Middleton chose to wear British designer Alexander McQueen, and the luxury retailer is still reaping the benefits. 

Profits soared 27 per cent last year, Sarah Karmali at Vogue reported. 

The “Kate effect” means that McQueen, which is owned by luxury group PPR, widened its lead over luxury house Stella McCartney.
