Residents in the southern Spanish village of Juzcar, near Malaga, are preparing for an historical referendum.The Daily Mail reports that the village will vote on whether to keep a bold blue paint job that producers of the movie The Smurfs initially paid for as a publicity move for the film. Despite promising to restore the village to its traditional white image, Juzcar may now decide to keep its bold exterior.
That’s quite a decision for a village that’s existed since before the Moorish invasion of Spain in the year 711. Is it time for a change?
