Mexico’s election authority has apologized for the presence of a sexily-clad ex-Playboy model at an otherwise sober Presidential debate, Reuters reports.
Julia Orayen’s appearance only lasted a few minutes, but overshadowed discussion of the debate on Twitter and in other media, despite the sometimes sober message of the country, still in the midst of a deadly drugs war.
A producer for the show said that Orayen, who has appeared nude for Playboy and other publications, was chosen due to her height, Procesco.com.mx reports.
