In December last year, Nissan showed the world what happens when you combine the 480 horsepower V6 from its GT-R supercar with the practical body of the Juke crossover. The Juke-R was born.
Now, according to Motor Authority, Nissan has announced that they will be taking orders for the Juke-R to deliver to customers. Each car will be built to order, so don’t expect to see these collecting dust on dealer lots.
There is one big difference between the concept and the production model. That change is an infusion of power. The production model is using the V6 from the 2013 GT-R, which cranks out 545 horsepower.
Nissan has apparently accepted three orders for the wild crossover at prices believed to be in excess of $200,000 $600,000 (according to Jalopnik). The company revealed that two of the orders have come from residents of Dubai. We guess that a Ferrari was a bit too common and mundane.
We love the idea behind the Juke-R, so it is great news that Nissan is willing to build examples for a select few, well-heeled enthusiasts.
