American Striker Jozy Altidore Dribbled Past Three Defenders To Score A Goal In The Netherlands This Weekend

22-year-old American forward Jozy Altidore continued his goal-scoring ways for Dutch club AZ Alkmaar this weekend.

Altidore leads the Eredivisie — which is among the best leagues in Europe with England, Italy, Spain, and Germany — in scoring with 8 goals in five games. He has been known for his power and strength since he burst onto the scene at the 2009 Confederations Cup, but on this goal he showed the touch and finesse it takes to be a top striker.

Why does it matter?

The US men’s national team is begging for a world-class forward, and Altidore looks to be the best bet to take the title before the 2014 World Cup.
