The NSW police joint organised crime group conducted dawn raids on more than 20 sites across Sydney today, including the homes of prominent Kings Cross nightclub owner John Ibrahim, and his son Daniel.

Fairfax Media reports two of Ibrahim’s brothers, Michael and Fadi, have been arrested in Dubai as part of an investigation into organised crime.

NSW Police say a planned joint operation with the Australian Federal Police is currently underway across Sydney, related to separate ongoing investigations.

Fairfax says there have been a dozen arrests in Sydney, including some underworld figures, and the homes have been raided in suburbs including Punchbowl, Bankstown, Arncliffe and Dover Heights.
