According to player efficiency ratings (PER), which calculates per minute performance by adding up a player’s positive accomplishments and subtracting all of his negative ones, Jeremy Lin is the fourth best point guard in the NBA.Only Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, and Russell Westbrook are better.
That puts Lin above All-Star floor generals like Deron Williams, Steve Nash, Tony Parker, and Rajon Rondo.
Lin is also better than fellow up-and-coming point guards Kyrie Irving, Stephen Curry, John Wall, and Kyle Lowry. (This is how PER is calculated.)
Lin showed off just how great he is Wednesday night against Cleveland and Irving, going for 19 points, 13 assists, and only one turnover.
