A father who fled Pennsylvania for Hawaii has been ordered to cough up more than $32,000 in child support after a bounty hunter tricked him into returning to the state.Joshua Garlathy was arrested after a bounty hunter promised him a role in a fake Jennifer Aniston movie, causing Garlathy to hop a plane back into Philadelphia, the Associated Press reported Thursday.
Once he was arrested, Garlathy pleaded guilty to willful failure to pay child support.
He was arrested under the state’s new law that makes it a crime to leave the state in order to avoid making child support payments, according to the AP.
Garlathy was sentenced to 90 days probation as well.
