Brisbane schoolteacher Jeff Horn shocked the boxing world at Suncorp Stadium yesterday by beating Filipino champion Manny Pacquiao in what came down to a judges’ decision, which he won unanimously — 117-111, 115-113 and 115-113.
The match is being described as one of the biggest upsets in boxing history with no one expecting Horn to win, especially after a brutal ninth round in which the referee asked whether his corner wanted to stop the fight.
After being crowned as the winner Horn announced that he and his partner Jo were pregnant with their first child.
“I feel good, I feel like a world champion,” he said.
Pacquiao received close to $10 million for the fight, while Horn took home just under $1 million.
It was the biggest fight in Australia’s history, attracting 51,025 fans and is expected to inject more than $25 million into the Brisbane economy.
Here’s what fighters and other athletes around the globe are saying about the match on Twitter — many of them weren’t happy to see the Aussie come out on top
Good night, Horn landed 15% and Pacquiao landed to 32%, and no one is ok with the decision. He didn't deserve the win.

Teddy Atlas is ruining a great moment for this kid. What is wrong with this guy? Teddy seems to be more upset than Manny. #PacHorn
