The prices for the iPhone on Virgin Mobile service point to an interesting fact — it can be significantly less expensive than going for a plan on Verizon or AT&T.
Here’s the pricing one more time:
If you go for the least expensive plan (which includes unlimited data and text messages), an iPhone 4S will cost $720 over two years. After purchasing the hardware, this number becomes $1,369.
The equivalent plan on Verizon will run you $86 per month (the cost on AT&T would be comparable). Over two years, that’s $2,064, and after you buy your phone, you’ve spent a total of $2,264.
That’s $895 more than an iPhone will cost through Virgin Mobile.
The only question to ask: does Virgin Mobile work well in your neighbourhood?
