Iran Threatens The West Over Libya, As Qaddafi Loyalists Take Back Town Of Brega

The West is clearly getting closer and closer to military invention (or at least threatening military invention) in Libya, as evidenced by the amphibious assault ships being sent to the region.

This kind of intervention will make Iran furious. The country’s foreign minister warned the West against making Libya, essentially, a new imperialist base.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Qaddafi loyalists have seized back the eastern town of Brega from rebels. According to Al-Jazeera, the town houses many oil companies HQs.

It’s the first time protesters have lost territory since the uprising began.
