Iran’s state tv outfit, Press TV, is reporting that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has made positive comments about President Obama’s recent comments on Iran, Israel, and the threat of war between the nations.”This remark is a good one and is a sign of taking a distance from illusion,” Iran’s supreme leader said, referring to comments made by Obama this week, distancing the US from talk about military action, despite mounting pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
However, Ayatollah Khamenei also made negative comments about the possibility of weakening Iran through sanctions.
“The US president has said … that he wants to bring the Iranian nation to its knees through sanctions, which reflects a continuation of [being under] a delusion in this regard,” he said, according to Press TV.
