The iPhone 4S will launch on October 14 at three price points: $299.99 for 64 GB, $199.99 for 32 GB, and $99.99 for 16GB, 9to5Mac hears. An 8 GB iPhone 4 will launch the same day for $49.99, replacing the iPhone 3GS at an entry-level price point.

While 9 to 5 Mac says these “whispers” are uncorroborated, they are likely true.

While Apple has never launched an iPhone at the $99.99 price point in the past, it makes sense considering the great variety of Android models at various price points and sizes.

It’s still unclear whether Apple will offer a free iPhone 3GS (which is almost 2.5 years old, at this point) on a new contract.

On October 14, Apple stores will open at 7AM and close at Midnight in certain places to fulfil enormous demand for the new iPhones.
