The iPad Is Already Over 2% Of Total US Web Traffic

The iPad represents 2.1% of US web traffic, and 1% of global web traffic, according to a Net Applications report highlighted by AllThingsD.

2.1% may not sound like much but it’s actually very impressive for a new category of device introduced little over a year ago. 

In fact it’s stunning. 

Traffic percentages are also interesting because they show how iPad usage is, and not just sales. Some think that sure, people buy tablets, but they just stop using them after a while. Web traffic stats seem to put the lie to that.
