Phil Schiller and Tim Cook were on stage to announce the iPad Mini today.Let’s take a close-up look at the device.

For comparison's sake, here's a regular iPad

And here's how the iPad Mini looks next to it

It takes the same resolution and packs it into a smaller screen

It looks like it will fit in your hands quite nicely

Since it's the same aspect ratio and pixel count, the device will run all the same iPad apps without any problem

It'll be a lifesaver for watching movies on aeroplanes, we bet

And for using all your favourite dinosaur apps

Since it's significantly smaller, expect to take it with you more often

And expect to use the integrated FaceTime camera

Apple also announced a new iMac today
