The latest Apple rumour is that the next iPad will launch in March, being even thinner and sporting an improved battery life, reports Digitimes. On top of that, Digitimes indicates that the new device will be considered an upgraded iPad 2, not a full-fledged iPad 3. Consider the difference between the iPhone 4 and the 4S.

A true iPad 3 is supposedly shipping in Q3 of 2012 with a faster processor and a high quality retina display, but 9to5Mac is highly sceptical of the time frame, saying that they “find it highly ¬†unlikely that Apple would launch a thinner iPad then a full iPad 3 upgrade only months later.”
