Apple's iOS App Store Has Generated Almost $3 Billion So Far

Apple said today that it has paid out over $2 billion to iOS developers so far, cumulatively.But that’s just the 70% revenue cut that developers get.

Apple has also gotten 30% of total app revenue, or about $900 million.

So the total market is more like $2.9 billion. Pretty nice, considering how many apps are free.
