When you’re the heiress to a crystal fortune, it’s hard to imagine your wedding would be anything less than sparkling.
This was certainly true when 23-year-old Victoria Swarovski married the Munich-based entrepreneur Werner Mürz last weekend in a three-day ceremony in Portopiccolo, Italy.
Swarovski, the daughter of Paul Swarovski, tied the knot with Mürz, a property investor, at the luxury five-star hotel Falisia in front of 250 close friends and relatives. She wore a crystal-embellished dress from the Dubai-based fashion designer Michael Cinco.
Swarovski’s team shared the official wedding images — and the inside scoop — with Business Insider.
Take a look at the sparkling event:
This is the Swarovski crystal heiress Victoria Swarovski and the Munich-based entrepreneur Werner Mürz, who married in an incredibly extravagant ceremony last weekend.
On the first night, there was a red-and-white-themed 'Pasta and Love' welcome dinner at the luxury five-star hotel Falisia.
Swarovski, who was born in Austria, wore a red crystal gown from the Dubai-based fashion designer Michael Cinco. Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, and Rihanna are among his clients.
Swarovski wore a flowing white embellished dress, again from Cinco, made with about 500,000 Swarovski crystals.
The 46-kilogram dress, which had an 8-meter veil and train, is worth more than $1 million (about £790,000).
This couple looked pretty mesmerised. Along with the Swarovski family -- Victoria's father, Paul; sister, Paulina; mother, Alexandra, and her husband; and aunt, Fiona -- the guests included the real-estate tycoon and Karstadt owner René Benko, the industrial magnate Peter König, the TV host and model Sylvie Meis, and the Saudi Arabian businessman Ahmed Ashmawi.
After the formal ceremony, the wedding party headed back to Portopiccolo for dinner at Maxi's Restaurant, looking out over the sea.
Aside from being the heiress to a fortune, Swarovski is also a singer and socialite in Austria. At the age of 16, she signed her first record deal with Sony Music and sang the theme song for 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.' She also performed at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
She also won the German version of 'Dancing with the Stars' in 2016, and she's one of the judges on 'Germany's Got Talent.'
