Initial Jobless Claims Fall Slightly To 377K

ORIGINAL POST: The first big US data event: The always-important weekly initial jobless claims.

Analysts expect to see 378K, which is down a touch from 383K last week.

This is a measure that tracks nicely with the market, and is a great high-frequency measure of the overall economy.

A slight beat. Nothing too special to write home about.
