Rep. Gabby Giffords vows to return to Congress in her soon-to-be-published book.
The Associated Press obtained a copy of the book “Gabby: A Story of Courage and Hope,” co-authored by Giffords and husband Mark Kelly before its publication later this month.
Kelly authored the majority of the book, save one page at the end of short sentences and essays, the AP reported. One of them: “I will get stronger. I will return.”
Giffords was shot in the head on January 8 at a constituent event outside a Tucson grocery store. Six people, including a federal judge and a nine year old girl, were killed.
The book also details when Giffords first learned about the what happened to her months after the shooting — and her reaction to when she found out about those who died.
