Australasian data registry and analytics business illion, formerly Dun & Bradstreet in Australia, has acquired TALKINGTECH, a New Zealand-cloud-based digital communications and payments solutions provider.

The purchase price wasn’t revealed.

TALKINGTECH delivers payment platform solutions to businesses operating mainly in the finance, telco and utilities sectors. Founded in 1986, the company has offices in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, North America and South Africa.

The acquisition follows illion’s purchase of Adelaide-based fintech Proviso, which creates automated bank statements, late last year.

“illion has been a very happy customer of TALKINGTECH for many years and this deal presents us with so many opportunities to invest in and grow the business,” says illion CEO Simon Bligh

“TALKINGTECH’s core market is aligned with ours in terms of both geography and segment. So there is immediate value that can be realised with lots of crossover opportunities for both business models.”
