“If I were Iranian, I’d be fearful of the next 12 weeks,” Efraim Halevy said.
The comments have been picked up by the Israeli media — it ran today as the lead story on the Jerusalem Post website. They are just the latest hint from a member of the Israeli defence community that something is happening soon.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and defence Minister Ehud Barak said earlier this weak that the time for sanctions and diplomacy against Iran is running out. The defence Ministry has also predicted 300 Israeli civilian causalities in a conflict against Iran and Syria.
