Tuesday night, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz wrote an open letter asking customers to no longer bring firearms into the stores, even in states where they are legally permissible to carry.
Gun owners responded on social media and the letter has caught the attention of several media outlets.
Schultz also produced a video for Starbucks explaining the company’s request.
In the video, Schultz sternly speaks on the behalf of gun carriers.
He tells employees gun carriers are to be treated like any other customer in states that allow guns into the coffee house and they should not ask them to leave.
