Durex has announced a product recall on some of its condoms -- here's how to check if your packet is safe

DurexDurex has recalled some of its Real Feel condoms

Durex has announced a recall on some of its condoms in Australia following concerns that some products made earlier this year were not passing its “stringent shelf-life durability tests”.

The recall is for one batch of non-latex “Real Feel Condoms”.

Durex says no other products are affected.

“The safety of our consumers always comes first, and this is reflected in our rigorous quality standards,” the company says.

“There is no immediate safety concern for consumers and only one batch is affected.

“Working closely with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), a division of the Australian Department of Health, we have decided to recall the affected batch.”

The specific batch number on non-latex Real Feel Condoms Durex is calling in is “1000432443 (expiry Jan 2021)”.

Batch numbers are shown on the bottom of the pack and on the foil wrapping of individual condoms.
