Netflix contains many great shows and movies, but not all of them are appropriate for kids. In the past, what kids watch on Netflix was entirely up to their parents’ discretion, but now Netflix allows you to block specific shows and movies through the use of a 4-digit PIN number.

You can now use your own judgment on what shows and movies are and aren’t appropriate for kids. Here’s how to block shows on Netflix.

You should now have successfully blocked unwanted content from users who don’t have access to your 4-digit PIN (ideally, the youngest ones).

If you find that blocked media is still accessible to the age group you restricted without the use of your PIN, go to “Manage Profiles,” click on the profile in question, and make sure that the profile is set to the appropriate age group. If you’ve done this and the problem persists, contact Netflix Support.
