How Egyptians Can Tweet Without The Internet

Egypt continues to block its citizens from the internet, blocking the world from an inside view at the protests and unrest there.

But thanks to some philanthropic engineers at Twitter, Google, and SayNow (a company Google recently acquired), Egyptians can dial a free number and leave a voicemail that will automatically tweet out.

There are three numbers to call: +16504194196, +390662207294, or +97316199855. The service will immediately tweet the voicemail with the hashtag #Egypt.

To hear the tweets, head to Speak To Tweet’s Twitter feed. All voicemails will be posted there.

Bravo to Google and Twitter for putting this together so quickly.
