Peyton Manning signed a contract extension prior to the season making him the highest-paid player in the NFL.

But in the NFL, where a big-time quarterback means everything, paying a signal-caller a lot of money is not unusual.

But how does Manning’s salary compare to the highest-paid at other positions? Obviously he is making a lot more than any punter or place kicker. But what about linebackers and linemen?
