Herman Cain said the protestors on Wall Street are anti-American. But the real anti-American is Herman Cain.He knows that the protestors on Wall Street are not against capitalism.
He knows that the banks did not earn their money the old fashioned way, with responsible lending and sound underwriting that Cain advocated during his press conference condemnation of the protestors. Herman Cain is a traitor to the American way if he thinks he can get away with calling the protestors on Wall Street anti-American. Shame on you Herm.
I noticed that all over the Business Insider boards, Tea Party folks were trying the same BS the last few days. It should come as no surprise that the Tea Party insiders love the banks.
They talk about stopping bank bailouts but we know that would crash everything. So what these Tea Partiers want is no bank regulation so they can wheel and deal anyway they want. Same for their libertarian friends.
The protestors are more sophisticated about the banking abuses than how many, like Cain, Erin Burnett and others portray these protestors. The protestors understand that the banks must be regulated, and prosecutions must occur.
It has never been un-American in the history of our nation until now for bankers who scam and cheat to be prosecuted and for banks to be regulated. Herman Cain is un-American. He has no clue what it means to be an American. He should talk to Dick Fuld, who said the damn banks need to be regulated. Fuld really ought to know.
And Mitt Romney is the same sort of stupid, calling the protests class warfare. I have always maintained that class warfare is from the top down. Perhaps he forgot about all the toxic loans, lax underwriting and the failure to regulate banks that gave out toxic CDO’s and insured them with unregulated swaps. This casino is the toxic and un American way. You hear this class warfare stuff from CNBC all the time.
Mitt Romney, the same foolish multimillionaire who said he was unemployed while talking to unemployed people is a liar and a cheat. That is NOT the American way. The American way is an affirmation of capitalism with a little socialism thrown in for the benefit of the people. That has been the way of prosperity since the Great Depression of the 1930’s. And it worked, and it was somewhat fair. What we have now is neither working nor is it fair.
But go on, Herman Cain and Mitt Romney, keep making damn fools out of yourselves. I am sure that the independents are taking note.
And do not forget Mr Cain, and Mr Romney, that Bernanke himself blamed the financial sector for the toxic products that caused the meltdown and crisis. He put the blame squarely on the financial system. So, you two meat heads probably didn’t get that message, but perhaps you need to get it. The banks didn’t earn money the old fashioned way.
I support the old fashioned way Mr Cain! But that wasn’t the way it happened and for that reason I support #occupywallstreet.
I have read that donations can go to this website. I do not know anything about the site but read that is the way to get money to people over there in NYC. Here is another website involved in the protests. I do not have anything to do with either website and am not endorsing them.
