Yesterday, the members of activist group CODEPINK interrupted Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan’s speech at the Citi Financial Services conference, wearing pink bras and signs of “Bust Up Bank of America” written on their chest.
The action was part of the movement’s protests on behalf of International Women’s Day. After the women were removed from the Citi conference, they continued their protests at a Bank of America next to Zuccotti Park—the famous nestling grounds of the Occupy movement last fall.
CODEPINK sent out a press release outlining what happened and a video, which show their protest and subsequent arrests of three protestors.
The video cuts off after their protest inside the Bank of America, then shows one protester, Rae Abileah, being arrested by the police. It’s unclear what happened in between the protestors leaving the Bank of America and their arrest.
