When you set up your Gmail account on your iPhone for the first time, you probably went with the default “Gmail” settings.
But if you did this, you can’t take advantage of “push email,” a feature your iPhone includes but doesn’t turn on by default. Activating “push email” means that emails will come instantly to your iPhone, just like on your old Blackberry.
