As most people like to remind you, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
It reveals how many calories the average serving contains, what time breakfast is usually eaten through to the staple foods in their morning meal.
While those in Australia like to keep it simple with either toast or cereal with an average of 300 calories per meal, the UK and Ireland prefer something more hearty with the works — bacon, sausage, eggs, tomatoes, beans and mushrooms — with 800 calories.
It says that breakfast provides 20 to 35% of the recommended daily intake and should be eaten within two hours of waking.
