Here Are Today's 6 Hottest Stocks

Markets are up across the board, with services, technology, and healthcare leading the pack. The Basic Materials sector is the big laggard of the day, down 0.6.Here are today’s winners and losers.


Sprint (S): Up 3.3 per cent  Sprint announced that it will begin offering pre-paid iPhones late in June, causing the stock to soar.

TripAdvisor (TRIP): Up 2.0 per cent  Google was told by the EU to offer antitrust settlement in weeks, and TripAdvisor is one of the rivals that Google is said to be disseminating against.

Wal-Mart (WMT): Up 2.8 per cent  Wal-Mart announced that it will begin a test program with En-Vision America which will use a talking prescription system that allows those who cannot read to easily access information about their prescriptions.


Yum! Brands (YUM) Down 5.1 per cent — Yum! Brands, owner of KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell among others, stock fell significantly as McDonald’s May sales report pushed down second quarter earnings.

NetApp (NTAP) Down 2.9 per cent — Barclays cut NTAP to equal weight from overweight, causing the stock to lose almost 3 per cent of its value this morning.

Alpha Natural Resources (ANR) Down 2.6 per cent — Alpha Natural Resources announced it will cut Kentucky mine output, which includes 150 jobs.
