The 6 Stocks Making Big Moves Today

The Dow is hovering around its break even price for the day, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq are marginally higher. But in perspective, it’s a relatively solid day for Wall Street after some disappointing trading days.

Here are today’s winners and losers.

Winners:

SanDisk (SNDK): Up 5.8 per cent  SanDisk announced that Lenovo selected it to provide caching technology for the new Think Pad.

Lennar (LEN): Up 4.7 per cent  Lennar, and other home builders, are up on positive ISM data.

PulteGroup (PHM): Up 4.4 per cent  Along with Lennar, PulteGroup is soaring on the ISM data announced earlier this morning.

Losers:

Fastenal (FAST) Down 7.8 per cent — Fastenal reported an 18.4 per cent sales increase in May, but that put in doubt the company’s prospects of meeting Wall Street expectations for the full quarter.

W.W. Grainger (GWW) Down 6.7 per cent — Grainger is declining mostly on results out of Fastenal, an industry peer.

Akamai Technologies (AKAM) Down 6.6 per cent — Netflix announced that it will launch its own content delivery network, depressing the need for it to go to third party vendors like AKAM.
