The Mobile World Congress is currently underway in Barcelona, with the biggest announcement so far being the new Samsung Galaxy S6.
The only problem is, these phones won’t be available for at least a couple of months.
For those unwilling to wait, looking for a new and innovative phone now, here are five smartphones you can buy today that are equally as exciting.
If you’re keen on the Samsung S6 Edge’s curves, the LG Flex 2 is just as unusual-looking, with a curved design that mimics the latest HD televisions and fits snugly in the palm of your hand. While LG Australia hasn’t made it available through carriers or retail channels, Yatango is selling it through its online Shopping portal.
The Yotaphone 2 is the very definition of next-gen, offering a unique dual-screen design that sports a 5” 1080p AMOLED touchscreen on the front and a 4.7” e-ink touch display on the back. This rear screen operates in ‘always on’ mode, so you can quickly check for missed calls, messages and notifications without having to turn on the power-hungry front screen.
Putting the fab into phablet, the Galaxy Mega 2 offers a plus-sized 6” screen that’s perfect for power users that need the extra display real estate. Unlike the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge announced overnight, it also offers microSD expansion up to 64GB and a replaceable battery.
Never mind needing an invitation to buy one of their phones (what the?), you can pick up one of the famous OnePlus One phones at Yatango for a reasonable price. All of the specs you’d want in a high-end smartphone are on board, including 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, Adreno 330 graphics, 13-megapixel Sony Exmor camera and 5.5” 1920 x 1080 display - but at half the price of its competitors.
Google may have run out of stock of the 64GB Google Nexus 6 through the Play Store, but you can still get your hands on this desirable smartphone via Yatango. Between the stock Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, gorgeous 6” Quad HD AMOLED display and powerful 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, it’s certainly one of the best smartphones on the market.
