To win the Ivy League regular season title and earn a berth into the NCAA Tournament, Harvard needed Princeton to beat Penn on Tuesday night. Of course, without a conference tournament, Harvard is the rare school that wasn’t on the court when they earned an invitation to the big dance.So where was Harvard when they found out? Studying, of course.
According to Rob Dauster of NBC Sports, the Crimson players were studying for midterms when they found out that Penn had lost.
Of course they were. The Ivy League, where “Student-Athlete” is not an oxymoron.
