Hang Seng Soars On Chinese Bank Investments

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index is up 3.3%, after China’s state-run Central Huijin Investment bought stakes in the Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, and China Construction Bank.  The Shanghai Composite is up 1.4%.Other Asia-Pacific markets extended their gains.

Japan’s Nikkei is up 2.0%.

Korea’s Kospi is up 2.2%.

Australia’s S&P/ASX is up 0.6%.
