The big screen adaptation of “Goosebumps,” based on the books by R.L. Stine, is ready to bring your childhood nightmares to life.
In the movie, a teenager (Dylan Minnette) runs into the author R.L. Stine (Jack Black) and while reading through his “Goosebumps” manuscripts, accidently releases the evil horrors of his books. But don’t get too scared yet: Jack Black is reliably hilarious. Plus, the ensemble includes some great comedic power from Kumail Nanjiani (“Silicon Valley”), Ken Marino (“Wet Hot American Summer”), Timothy Simons (“Veep”), and Jillian Bell (“22 Jump Street,” “Workaholics”).
“Goosebumps” will be out in theatres on October 16, just in time for Halloween.
